A/S/L
A/S/L is a social project consisting of 26 portraits of adults aged 25+ living at home due to Ireland's housing crisis. The project documents a generation in limbo, photographing each participant in their bedroom to explore the tension of living as an adult in a childhood space. Rooted in my own experience of living at home at 33, the work presents a shared reality through direct, unsentimental portraits that reflect the personal impact of the housing crisis.
The title A/S/L references the early internet shorthand for "age, sex, location." It acts as a generational marker, suggesting a return to an earlier stage of identity and reflecting the suspended transition into independent adulthood.
